Privacy policy
This site collects very little, and only what you type into a form. Here is what happens to it, in plain language.
In short
- I only receive what you type into the contact, buyer's guide or home valuation forms.
- It arrives by email and stays in my mailbox. This site keeps no database of messages.
- I do not sell your information or share it for marketing.
- No analytics and no tracking cookies are running today.

Who is responsible
I am Jas Chahal, a REALTOR® in Calgary, Alberta, and this is my website. Questions about this policy come to me: [email protected] or 587-971-8667.
What the forms collect and where it goes
There are three forms on this site: Contact, the Calgary Home Buyer's Guide request and What's my home worth? Between them they ask for your name, email address, phone number (optional), a topic, a message or notes and, for a valuation, the address of the home. Each form also has a hidden field that people never see; it catches automated spam and does nothing else.
When you press Send, a small program on this site's host (Cloudflare) passes your message to Resend, an email delivery service, which sends it to my mailbox. Resend handles the message the way any mail server does, in order to deliver it, and keeps its own delivery records under its privacy policy. The reply address is yours, so I can answer you directly. This site keeps no copy of form submissions in a database, and what you send is used for one thing: getting back to you about your question.
If Cloudflare Turnstile is switched on for the forms, Cloudflare checks that the submission came from a person rather than a script. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers that check.
The buyer's guide request
When you ask for the Calgary Home Buyer's Guide, the site emails you a link to the PDF, which is hosted here, and emails me a copy of your request so I know you are looking. I may follow up once to ask how your search is going. If you would rather I did not, say so in your reply and that is the end of it.
Analytics
None are running. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel and no heat mapping on this site today. If I ever turn on Google Analytics 4 to see which pages get read, this section will name it, say what it collects and carry the date it started.
Embedded Instagram videos
The Videos page and the home page show videos from my Instagram account, @jaschahalyyc. The thumbnails and captions you see are copies stored on this site. Nothing loads from Instagram until you press Play. Once you do, Instagram's player (run by Meta) loads inside the page, and Meta's own privacy policy and cookies apply from that point. The "Watch on Instagram" links take you to instagram.com itself.
Hosting on Cloudflare
This site is served by Cloudflare Pages from servers around the world. Like every web host, Cloudflare's edge keeps standard request logs (your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type) to serve pages and to block attacks. Those logs stay with Cloudflare, and Cloudflare's privacy policy describes what they keep and for how long.
Two other services help show you the pages. The fonts come from Google Fonts, and some listing photos are stored with Supabase, the database service behind the listings. Loading a font or a photo is an ordinary web request to their servers, the same as loading any picture on the internet.
Cookies
The public pages set no cookies. There is one cookie on this whole site, named jc_admin, and it exists only on the password-protected admin pages I use to update listings. It is set in my browser when I log in and in nobody else's. Nothing on the visitor side of the site uses cookies or browser storage to follow you around.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email [email protected] and I will reply and act on it. Deleting means removing your messages from my mailbox. Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act sets the rules I follow; if you are not satisfied with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what is collected, such as turning on analytics, gets its own line in the relevant section rather than a quiet edit. The current version is always at jaschahal.ca/privacy.
